There is a little known theory going around that the world ended in 2012.  Stephen Hawking warned about the Higgs Boson particle being a possible end to our timeline.  Have we moved into another reality?  Did our simulation end and did our controllers move us to an adjacent timeline/simulation?  In 2012 would you have believed Donald Trump would be the President of the United States?  The Mandela effect might be the final straw?

Taylor explores this idea in a very creative way.  This book is the launching point for this podcast.  We will look at the moral and ethical implications of such a journey an ask what if?

YOUR MIND UPLOADED IN A COMPUTER WOULD NOT BE YOU

This episode is the beginning of a slight change in format for AQF.  Moving more into Sci-Fi and how it affects and impacts our thoughts, as well as just fun fan stuff.

I have been away from too long, this is my first episode back for season 2-2020.  I am alive and so is Star Trek.  Talking about season 3 of Star Trek Discovery, Picard, and Pitbulls.  Great time to be a sci-fi fan!

Planet 9 is an answer to a gravitational issue occurring with objects in the Kuiper Belt.  Could this be the predicted Nibiru postulated by Zecharia Sitchin?  Are the Anunnaki our ancestors?  Are Homo Sapiens the result of interbreeding between the Anunnaki and other Homo species to be slaves to mine the resources of the earth?  Was Noah warned of the coming flood 13,000 years ago?  All fun questions and I will try to answer them in this episode.

The real Planet 9 has not been observed at this point, but two Caltech researchers Mike Brown and Konstantiin Batygin have modeled and simulated a giant planet that answers orbital/gravitational issues with 5 KBOs that are more elegantly answered with a 9 planet solar system.

Planet Nine is a hypothetical planet in the outer region of the Solar System. Its gravitational effects could explain the unlikely clustering of orbits for a group of extreme trans-Neptunian objects (eTNOs), bodies beyond Neptune that orbit the Sun at distances averaging more than 250 times that of the Earth. These eTNOs tend to make their closest approaches to the Sun in one sector, and their orbits are similarly tilted. These improbable alignments suggest that an undiscovered planet may be shepherding the orbits of the most distant known Solar System objects.

This undiscovered super-Earth-sized planet would have a predicted mass of five to ten times the Earth, and an elongated orbit 400 to 800 times as far from the Sun as the Earth. Konstantin Batygin and Michael E. Brown suggest that Planet Nine could be the core of a giant planet that was ejected from its original orbit by Jupiter during the genesis of the Solar System. Others propose that the planet was wrested from another star,[6] is a captured rogue planet, or that it formed on a distant orbit and was pulled into an eccentric orbit by a passing star.

As of 2018, no observation of Planet Nine had been announced. While sky surveys such as Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) and Pan-STARRS did not detect Planet Nine, they have not ruled out the existence of a Neptune-diameter object in the outer Solar System.[3][9] The ability of these past sky surveys to detect Planet Nine were dependent on its location and characteristics. Further surveys of the remaining regions are ongoing using NEOWISE and the 8–meter Subaru Telescope. Until Planet Nine is observed, there is the possibility it may not exist. Several alternative theories have been proposed to explain the observed clustering of TNOs.

Missing Time, is it brain function or alien abduction?  

Daydreaming is fairly universal and we all experience it from time to time.  Most would agree that we can become mesmerized by things and time passes very quickly, and other times when we are bored out of our minds like standing in line at the DMV for example.  There are some that think missing time is related to alien abduction, or some other nefarious reason, one example occurred in 1975 a guy named Travis Walton who claimed to be abducted by aliens and the abduction was witnessed by several other people.  

Our perception of time varies and is subjective based on what is occurring in our lives.  How much effort is required by our brains to process information. As we age if we choose not to stimulate our minds they atrophy similar to our muscles.  Without new synaptic pathways being created our brains shrink, literally shrink! 

Traumatic events cause an adrenaline rush that prohibits our brains from writing memory because we need our senses fully alert to preserve our lives.

This episode discusses the peopling of the Americas and the idea of the Kelp Highway, Clovis theory etc.  There are competing theories based on archaeological evidence that makes sense when bounced against climate change that occurred and how it affected Beringia and the Bering Land Bridge.  How some folks stayed put and others left to explore and search their world without any evidence of what was in front of them to include any number of new beasts that could eat them!  

Why did they do it?  Is searching the Internet the modern equivalent?  I think it is.  Amazon is a great example of how we dig around until we find a "deal" and then we tell stories to our little tribes about how successfully we were and what a great deal we found.  Reminds me of hunter tales and what we imagine our prehistoric ancestors doing that served the same purpose.  The "deal" in that case would be "where" to find good hunting and gathering grounds and pass that information to the tribe.  "Hey Bob, you need a 'widget' here's a link it is the best deal out there"  - "Hey Bob, you want a good "mammoth" here are the directions".

Living in a parallel univese and the non-math version of quantum physics.  The idea that we are living in a multiverse situation is not a theory but rather a conclusion based on what the propeller heads math tells them.  I like it!  How can an electron spin in two directions, better yet how can an electron spin in two directions at the same time???  Why can't we see these amazing particles spinning in two directions?  

Using the powers of the Interwebs and a Star Trek TNG Season 7, episode 11 Parallels we will figure it out.  Or at the very least scratch the surface and try to understand what the heck is going on.

I have been thinking about sound for the past year.  The way it effects us on so many levels.  From noise pollution, to music that soothes, to the voice of our children.  During my research on ways to use sound to focus during work, or writing, etc.  I came across some unexplained sounds that have been recorded by a hydrophone array in the ocean by the Equatorial Pacific Ocean Autonomous Hydrophone Array.  or SOSUS (Sound Surveillance System-a cold war relic) used by NOAA for ongoing scientific research.
