I 2008 rinne an Chlub GAA Burgess iarratas chuig comhairle contae Tiobraid Árann I gcóir cead pleanála I gcóir forbairt nua. Bhí siad ag iarradh áis dhá stór dá seomra gléasta le seomra traenáil, seomra do fhisiteiripe, seomra cruinnithe agus I bhfad níos mó san Aonach Urmhumhan.

1972: Strained relations between Gardaí and R.U.C in the border areas could mean that the pig smuggling gang which kidneapped a Dublin-born customs officer may not be caught.
1999: Irish farmers are set to get £1.7bn under the EU's Rural Development Plan.
2001 – Grants for sale in Roscrea, the Hotel had undergone a complete programme of refurbishment and was presented in excellent condition throughout. Accommodation comprises 25 ensuite guest bedrooms, "Kittys Tavern" lounge bar, and the award-winning "Lemon Tree restaurant".  The hotel offered a banquet and conference facility while accommodating up to 600 patrons. 
 2008 - BURGESS GAA Club applied to North Tipperary County Council seeking planning permission for a new development at their grounds. The club is seeking permission to construct a new two-storey extension to existing dressing rooms - comprising of training room, first aid, physiotherapy room, and relocated machinery shed at ground floor level with a meeting room, storage area, and toilets at first floor level on lands at Kilcoleman, Carrigatogher, Nenagh.

Onto music news on this day In 1977 David Bowie recorded a guest appearance on 'Bing Crosby's 'Merrie Olde Christmas' TV show duetting with Crosby on 'Peace On Earth - Little Drummer Boy. The track became a UK No.3 hit five years later in 1982.
1996 Noel Gallagher walked out on the rest of Oasis half way through an American tour after a fight with his brother Liam in a hotel in Charlotte North Carolina.
And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – actor Scott Patterson was born in America in 1958 and rapper Ludacris was born in America on this day in 1977 and this is one of his songs.
