1987: Young adults were advised not to take mortgages until theycould manage their money properly as a survey showed many young people encountered debt once taking a mortgage.

The Cashel town council kept a clean sheet and even cleaner streets when they managed to avoid issuing almost any litter fines. 

1999 - A major storm was brewing in the Loughmore area over the proposed erection of a thirty-foot-tall Eircell mast. Residents objected to the project. The erection of the mast was planned on the Tinvoher area on McGrath's land, an area that was one of the most densely populated in the parish
