Under aliases like 𝗔𝗖𝟭𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁 (very spy-movie 🎭), he founded the 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 (LPL) in 1940, spreading underground news, forging documents, sabotaging the occupiers, and generally giving the Gestapo a permanent migraine.

Hunted, cornered, and refusing capture, Raymond chose to die free in 1942. Today? A street, a monument – and a reminder that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 💥
