Arbitrarily Deterministic episodes

  • AD#023 - ciphrd, Ryan Bell, Leander Herzog

Hosted by Kenconsumer, this episode was originally broadcast live on www.keithfem.com on November 17, 2022. Arbitrarily Deterministic focuses on the intersection between art, technology and popular culture and the people who help blur those lines.

In this episode I talk to the three artists that are exhibiting in Systematic Premeditation, an exhibition in my gallery sp2.berlin. ciphrd, Ryan Bell and Leander Herzog and I talk about all kinds of shit, including how the exhibition came about, how/why ciphrd started fxhash, how they come to use specific programming languages for their art, their thoughts on marketplaces and their role in the art world, and other stuff. It was great for me to have this experience. Sorry for the technical difficulties in the middle there, the joys of live radio...

In this episode I talk to THE Reverend Dan Catt. Yes, he is a real Reverend. We talk about who he is, why I have him on the show, community curation, some required reading for anyone getting into generative art and wants to curate, music, the future of the internet, art, and he does an incredible rendition of John Cage's masterpiece 4'33". Who knew he had such a silky smooth voice?

  • AD#020 - Antti Pussinen, Luisa Catucci

Hosted by Kenconsumer, this episode was originally broadcast live on www.keithfem.com on October 20, 2022. Arbitrarily Deterministic focuses on the intersection between art, technology and popular culture and the people who help blur those lines.

In this episode I talk to artist Antti Pussinen and gallerist Luisa Catucci about what its like to stage a generative art show in an IRL gallery. We get off on to many other tangents, but those tangents are interesting and somehow get back on track. For me, this was fascinating because Luisa and I have common paths that have led us both to exhibiting this kind of work in our galleries. An American, an Italian and Finn sit in a studio...

It was a fun one. Glad to be back.
