Welcome to Episode 80, where I'm privileged to be joined by Danish barebow sensation Oliver Øchkenholt. Oliver is a national and international champion who came to competitive shooting from a background of bow hunting.

We discussed his introduction to archery, creating a work/life/archery balance, the cost of competitive archery at an elite level and sponsorship/funding. We also talked about additional ways that he funds his travel and entry costs for international tournaments and his vision for making archery a more spectator friendly sport for non-archers to reach a wider audience. I also broached the subject that at the very top levels of archery where television and livestreams are involved, should the archers look like "athletes" to give a better perception of the sport to non-archery viewers?

Welcome to Episode 79 where I'm joined by Maddie Hammond. We started our day with a hike up a windy, wet and cold  Wrekin in Shropshire, which turned out to be eventful as there was a man unconscious and verging on hypothermia at the summit. Welcome to Episode 78. In this episode I'm joined by special guest Dylan Drego, who I was honoured to spend a week with in Montana at the start of November, hunting with Joel Turner. It was such an incredible adventure and I'm not ashamed to admit that I got a little emotional during the recording as we reminisced about our experiences in this beautiful state. We go through the highs, the lows, the laughs, the frustrations and the lessons learned. After an unusually long interval between episodes due to a recently acquired speech impediment, I'm finally back - lol! In this episode, I look back at the weekend shoot at Liberty Archers in Suffolk in July. This is the traditional Paget summer holiday & this year was no exceptoion as we took around  20 archers to Suffolk. I was 5 months into my traditional archery adventure and attempting my first competition with a single string bow. On the Friday I had to make the decision to either put in the reps on the pracrice range or, after an invitation from Maddie, jump on the opportunity to shoot with Matt Zirnsak from The Push as he was in the UK filming with Maddie. Will I regret delaying gratification and deciding to put in the reps? I hope you enjoy my latest ramblings.

This is a very special episode where we got previous guests and a couple of new ones, to sit down face to face and record an episode while we were being hosted by the amazing Alex and Beck at Hybrid Archery in Norfolk.
