Join us as we interview Alister McGrath, the author of ‘Why We Believe: Finding Meaning in Uncertain Times.’ We discuss whether we need to look beyond provable fact in order to find meaning in life, Alister’s own journey from Atheism to Christianity and how new atheism compares to religious faith.
Dr. McGrath holds three doctorates from the University of Oxford: one in molecular biophysics, another in theology, and a third in intellectual history.
Currently, he serves as the Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at Oxford University. Dr. McGrath is known for his work on the intersection of science, religion, and philosophy. He’s a former atheist who became a Christian while studying at Oxford, and he has written extensively on topics ranging from theology to the relationship between faith and reason.
His latest book, ‘Why We Believe,’ explores the nature of belief, its importance in human life, and how we can find meaning in an uncertain world.
