Nicholas Meregali and Kaynan Duarte are the favourites in the -99kg division at the ADCC World Championships. But out of those two who is most likely to win the division? And how to the other contenders stack up? Can anyone cause a shock? Those are the questions Calum and Ross consider as they rank all 16 athletes in the Jiu Jitsu Oracle's latest ADCC tier list.

They also look at whether Meregali can win his weight class and also the absolute division, which could set him up for a match against reigning superfight champion Gordon Ryan at the 2026 ADCC. First, Gordon has to retain his title against Yuri Simoes. If he does, then in two years' time, he'll be up against the winner of the absolute category at this month's ADCC in Las Vegas. That could be New Wave team-mate Meregali.
