Queensland will be a key state in next year's federal election, and this week the Prime Minister Scott Minister has hit the road.

His trip up and down the coast has included blitzing local radio airwaves, filling social media feeds with first-person videos, and accusing local reporters of being part of the "Canberra bubble".

So will voters buy what he's selling? Or could the media strategy backfire?
