The persistency and consistency of bad news is discouraging, from wars in Israel and Ukraine to earthquakes in Iceland to a worldwide opioid epidemic that now suffers from “polysubstance abuse.” It’s logical to ask how long the world can continue like this and whether we’re living in the end times. But what if God doesn’t want us to know if that’s the case?
