Deeply Rested: Anti-Capitalist Conversations for Entrepreneurs

Are you confusing patience with laziness?

Listen Later

As small business owners, most of us have been conditioned to believe that constant motion equals success — and that slowing down means falling behind. But what if that story is the very thing holding you back?

In this episode of Let's Go Outside, I'm filming from a plot of farmland in rural Virginia, reflecting on why farmers do what farmers do: plant seeds, then walk away. No one calls a farmer lazy for trusting the natural growth cycle. No one tells them they're not working hard enough because they're letting the soil do its job.

So why do we say that to ourselves?

This week, I'm exploring the difference between patience and passivity, why we confuse the two, and what it actually looks like to build a business in alignment with natural cycles instead of against them.

We might reach our goals more slowly. But we will reach them more peacefully — and that inner peace is worth its weight in gold.

🌿 Let's Go Outside is a video series for entrepreneurs who want to build their businesses at the speed of nature, not the speed of late-stage capitalism.
