I have this half baked theory that training from a diet culture mindset is making us feel "old". In so many ways. But mostly the idea that of COURSE you're gonna feel like you're "too old" to do certain things if you've been beating yourself into the ground for years. I have to imagine that years of over-training and not eating to support that can wreck your body in a worse way than age can.
