Are You Listening?

You're Not Out of Your Mind Christian!

We've all been blue. But there is a deeper and sinister element to depression, especially as a Christian.  I suffered from severe depression for many years, even to the point of giving up on life. This week we will talk about that journey a bit and give a few thoughts on what depression is and how a believer is to understand its causes and cures.

We appreciate your listening and look forward to seeing this podcast get off the ground with great force. By the Lord's grace, we'll continue to provide more and more teaching on this and other pastoral subjects.

Also, get ready to start listening to our weekly hour-long podcast "Theology Answers" that can be found over at "TheologyAnswers.com" and is a part of the Christian Podcast Community.

The Truth Shall Set You Free...

This is one of those well-used statements! Everyone wants to understand truth and sadly in our day many have found the well they drink from wanting when it comes to things that are true. Too often we listen to pundits and podium pounders instead of looking into the word of God. It is only in the Bible where we find truth and the measure of grace to see error when it comes our way. Let's make that our focus and plan.

I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy....

no I don't... let's be honest, when we are simply tired we can find it difficult to find out joy. Why? Because in our flesh we fail to remember that our Joy is Jesus Christ and HE is found only the pages of the bible! Get in the word and Christ will be your joy!

Scripture is ALL Truth!

But it doesn't contain the truth of all things. That is a common misconception when people hear, "The Bible speaks to the truth of all things." One can't learn algebra or zoology from the Bible but one can only learn the actual purpose of life in doing all these things from Scripture. Scripture reveals God and in doing so, reveals His high and holy essence and commands that rule every human being that will ever exist. The Bible is the pure truth that matters, all else doesn't!

The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me!

Scripture is often relegated as a nice little guide for the Christian through which he browses at times. In fact, the Scriptures say that they are indeed the POWER of God. So, we should spend time therein, trusting in the power of God and His promises.

We Learn What We See!

When social media theology trolls continue in the manner of cruelty they really are proving themselves evil in the eyes of others. They are also teaching young men aspiring to be "like them" (God have mercy) to act in a wicked manner. The truth is truth and the correction of error needs to be biblical and for the millionth time, let's do it right!
