So we'll just have to use what we have. While not a necessary 'tool' in our belt for interpretation, knowing and realizing that the bible is an OLD set of writings is imperative. Sinner, Sinner, Chicken Dinner!

This is how I felt in my depression like everyone thought of me as a huge "spiritual" failure. I learned that I was and in the end, that is why I needed the good news of Jesus Christ. Depression can be brought on by many things, for the Christian, and especially for the Pastor, ministry and life can take you down rides you never intended to join.

Too often we listen to pundits and podium pounders instead of looking into the word of God. It is only in the Bible where we find truth and the measure of grace to see error when it comes our way. Scripture is ALL Truth!

But it doesn't contain the truth of all things. That is a common misconception when people hear, "The Bible speaks to the truth of all things." One can't learn algebra or zoology from the Bible but one can only learn the actual purpose of life in doing all these things from Scripture. Scripture reveals God and in doing so, reveals His high and holy essence and commands that rule every human being that will ever exist. The Bible is the pure truth that matters, all else doesn't!
