Knowing God's will is sometimes one of the most difficult things to do in life. As believers (and some non-believers) we are constantly asking ourselves who we are and why we are here. Personally, I have been learning to discern God's will for over 20 years and I have learned that I must truly ADORE and DELIGHT myself in Him in order to know His Will.

Knowing WHOSE we are is imperative before trying to even know God's Will - we must be His children and in turn, we will be in His hands. As God's children He is continually renewing us into the likeness of Christ (Col 3) and as we grow to Love Him and Know Him, His plan for us will unfold for HIS purpose and GLORY!

A few INSIGHTS compliment this message:

* We must know the WORD - Knowing God's Word (and the desire to Know) is a given for a sold out believer. When we imagine life without the Word of God it should break us apart. God's Word to me IS my LIFE and all that I need.

* We must say NO to OUR WILL - Just as Christ surrendered to the Father in Matthew 26, our lives, if in His hands, will surrender to His will and not our own. The greatest thing in life that I could dream of would be the most horrific plan in the universe if it is out of the will of God for my life.

* We must know WISDOM - Our wisdom is plain and simple: stupid (note the title of my blog). Becoming wise in God's wisdom means that we learn to ignore 'our' so-called wisdom and lean on HIS SUPREMACY.

* We must know WORSHIP - LOVING God is our heart-beat and when we truly DELIGHT in GOD - HE WILL give us the desires of OUR heart. Now this does not mean that what WE want will manifest itself if we just show God some love. To DELIGHT in God is to surrender your every soul, mind and life to Him! Through our LOVE for Him and what He has provided for us, our hearts will be transformed and become in tune with the heart of God. So in turn, our desires will be His desires.

Today's message is week three in a four part series entitled Espresso Yourself. We are teaching how our attitudes, even small ones, can carry a large punch and effect our lives and the lives of those around us.

To truly honor God with our attitudes, we have to develop thankfulness as a habit. Today, we'll look at what gratitude will do for us and WHAT we have to be thankful for. If nothing else, God, His Goodness and our Growth in Him are enough!

We'll look at the 10 lepers in Luke 17:11-19 and see that very few people are Thankful for their lives and their blessings.
