  • AREA 52 084: “Mind Games”
Hypnosis is often looked at as fun weekend entertainment show. A place where audience members are convinced to quack like ducks, act ridiculous onstage by quacking like ducks or sexy dancing with a broomstick.
In this episode of Area 52, we discuss the ideas: Is hypnosis just good harmless fun?
Or, is hypnosis a dark art?
We also discuss Robert Kennedy’s killer (Sirhan Sirhan), and if  he was a real-life “Manchurian Candidate?”
And we recap our local Alien-themed event where we got to meet Fire in The Sky’s Travis Walton and talk shop with a paranormal cop.

  • AREA 52 083: “Lab Rats”
Throughout the years, there have been countless psychological experiments conducted on people; some willingly, some without permission or knowledge, but all of them, no matter how unethical, have given us a fascinating, and often disturbing look into the human psyche and what types of horrible behavior we’re actually capable of.
Join us this week as we explore some of the most horrifying psychological experiments ever officially conducted on humans: Electric shock therapy, Jane Elliot (Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes Exercise) and the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment.
We also look at the sad case of a baby boy who was forced to be raised a girl after a freak accident.
Thanks for listening and feel free to interact with us @Area52 on social media.

  • AREA 52 082: “Bombinos Pizza”
In August of 2003, a man named Brian Wells entered a bank in Erie, Pennsylvania with a shotgun and a bomb strapped around his neck.
He claimed he had been jumped and forced to rob the bank or the bomb would go off, which it eventually did, killing Brian in the process. Years later, police would start to piece together what they believe actually happened that day, but the question of whether Brian himself was actually involved is still kind of a mystery.
Join us this week as we discuss this fascinating case, which is now the topic of an engrossing Netflix docuseries (Evil Genius).
We also discuss newly released details in the Golden State Killer case, updates surrounding MH370 and scary advancements in artificial intelligence. Enjoy!

  • AREA 52 080: “Dying To Be Famous”
On July 15, 1997, a man walked up behind Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace as he was entering his South Beach estate and shot him in the head, killing him. This murder introduced the world to the name Andrew Cunanan, a man who sought fame and acceptance so desperately, he was willing to kill for it.
Versace wasn’t his only victim. In fact, Andrew’s 4 state murder spree left a trail of bodies and questions behind that still baffle and intrigue investigators. Why did he do it? What made him snap? Was it all avoidable, or was Andrew just born to kill?
Join us this week as we examine Cunanan’s life and crimes, from his troubled and turbulent childhood, to the web of lies that he lived as an adult and the victims he left in his wake, we do our best to figure out who Andrew was and what lead him down the darkest path of all.

  • AREA 52 079: “Skeptiholics”
We are finally back and have a lot to talk about! Since we’ve been gone, we’ve watched a couple paranormal documentaries, examined a few interesting Twitter-based conspiracies and finally got our hands on some of the Vegas footage we’ve been waiting for, but is any of it actually convincing?
Join us this week as we take a skeptical look at several topics including the finally recently released “Demon House” documentary from Ghost Adventures’ host Zak Bagans, chronicling the infamous so-called “demonic” happenings at a haunted house In Indiana, as well as a disappointing documentary called “Sir NoFace” which might show a ghost for like half a second.
We also examine the CCTV footage that was just released by the New York Times showing footage of alleged Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock supposedly preparing for his assault at Mandalay Bay in the days leading up to his attack.
We also discuss the mysterious, but totally suspicious, voicemail that was posted online last week that some believe either ties into missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 or perhaps predicts an upcoming disastrous event and follow Twitter’s scariest ghost story, the saga of “Dear David”, the terrifying, and most likely completely fictional tale of a probably not haunted apartment in New York City. Enjoy!

  • AREA 52 078: “Director’s Cut”
After spending an entire episode unexpectedly discussing the fascinating documentary, “Patient Seventeen”, we were, much to our delight, surprisingly contacted by the film’s director, the super cool and incredibly knowledgeable Jeremy Corbell, who offered to come on the podcast to answer some of the questions we had and elaborate on some of the things we may have missed.
So join us this week for a very special episode as we sit down with Jeremey to discuss alien implants, “official” UFO footage and top level government cover-ups.
We also get some insight into his upcoming next film, a project that allowed him to be the very first filmmaker to document the mysteries and phenomena of the infamous Skinwalker Ranch.
    Enjoy!

So pull the one you love close and join us as we deliver some blood soaked valentines to a mysterious pitchforked corpse, a legendary Chicago mob hit, an alleged accidental Olympic shooting and much more. We aren’t just breaking hearts, we’re slashing them! Enjoy!

  • AREA 52 076: “Liar, Liar, Pants on a Wire”
Thousands of people claim to have been abducted by aliens and their stories range from terrifying to fantastical, but very few of them ever come back with actual proof.
However, there are cases of abductees who have claimed to have found strange metallic “alien implants” embedded inside their bodies. Some have even gone so far as to have them removed and examined, as seen in the recent documentary “Patient Seventeen”, and while the results are interesting to say the least, does it really point to aliens or could it be something a little closer to home?
Join us this week as we discuss this fascinating documentary, the strange cases it presents and the idea that maybe these devices aren’t so alien after all.
We also discuss the dozens of videos online that appear to prove that at least some of the astronaut footage we’re allegedly receiving from space might be nothing more than green screen and wire tricks and what reasons NASA would have to fake it. Enjoy!

  • AREA 52 075: “Arias 52”
In June of 2008, Travis Alexander was brutally murdered at his home in Mesa, Arizona.
The only suspect in the crime was his ex-girlfriend, a woman named Jodi Arias, who at first denied any involvement, but after her story didn’t add up and undeniable evidence tying her to the scene started surfacing, she eventually confessed, weaving a tale of sexual and physical abuse leading to an altercation where she defended herself, but was any of it true?
Was she really just a naive victim of abuse or a cold-blooded killer who planned and carried out a horrible murder? Join us this week as we examine the sordid details, horrific evidence and chilling images of this twisted case, that while it’s over, seems far being from solved.
