From an alien exchange program from the 1970s and an ancient alien satellite that apparently orbits earth to a mysterious deadly Russian hiking expedition and a family who allegedly lived with a raspy-voiced, lego-throwing ghost. Clowns are creepy, there's no doubt about it. In fact, books, TV and movies have all played up the scary clown trope so much that the fear has given way to actual scary real life sightings and even horrible crimes all associated with and attached to the image of clowns, but what is it that really makes us scared of a person in face paint and a red wig just standing in the darkness holding a balloon....nope, never mind, I totally get it, because that even just sounds creepy.

Join us this week as we examine Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. Airbnb is a cool and easy way to find a place to stay or rent out an extra room or empty house, however, while millions of people use the service every year without issue, there have been a handful of users who have encountered nightmarish scenarios, from properties being trashed and renters who refuse to leave to coming home to the aftermath of an orgy and even finding a dead body.

There's also problems with people being evicted or having their rent skyrocket because of greedy landlords trying to rent out whole buildings and the dangers that come with hundreds of thousands of unregulated and unsuspected properties.

In early 2004, a young college student named Maura Murray crashed her car into a snow bank on an icy, rural New Hampshire road. The accident wasn't that bad, and witnesses who stopped claim she appeared to be uninjured, but when police arrived, Maura was nowhere to be found, leaving behind to this day no clues as to where she had gone and string of strange behavior that doesn't seem to add up.

Plus we take a look at the mysterious and unsettling case of Cindy James, a nurse who was found dead in 1989 after 6 years of claiming to have been the victim of a sadistic and unseen assailant who tortured, harassed and tried to kill her. Some believe she was mentally ill and faked the whole thing, some believe she was a victim and her murderer got away. Either way, it's one of the strangest stories we've ever heard. Also a sad update on a local disappearance, possible new DB Cooper evidence, Jack the Ripper's diary and an alleged encounter with a very, how do I say this, "aggressive" Sasquatch. Enjoy

An ocean cruise is supposed to be a relaxing getaway, a place to kick back and unwind, but for some, these vacations turn into something much darker. On average, around 15 people a year go missing from cruise ships, leaving behind questions and confused loved ones.

Join us this week as we explore 3 cases of vacations gone wrong, from Disney cruise ship worker Rebecca Coriam, who disappeared without a trace, to Amy Lyn Bradley, a young lady who managed to go missing right out from under the watchful eye of her vacationing family, these stories are unsettling and haunting.

We also discuss the infamous case of Natalee Holloway, who appears to have been murdered or abducted while on vacation in the Caribbean and update you on a current local missing person’s case that just seems to get more and more mysterious as the days go by.

On Christmas Eve 1945, a house burned down in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The owner of the house, a man named George Sodder, his wife Jennie and 4 of their children escaped unharmed, leaving, what they believed, was an additional 5 children trapped in the blaze.

However, after the fire had been stopped, no bodies or traces of the children were ever found, leading some to believe they hadn't died at all, but been kidnapped.

The unsolved story of the missing Sodder children is a long and sad one, from political unrest and possible ties to the mafia to strange phone calls, sightings and pictures, there are many possibilities but none that seem like the right one.

This week, we discuss a few recent documentaries that we've watched. First, we discuss the recent History Channel special that provided evidence and proposed that instead of crashing into the ocean, Amelia Earhart actually landed her plane in the Marshall Islands and was captured and ultimately executed by the Japanese and that maybe the United States knew about it the whole time.

We also talk about an interesting new documentary chronicling the experiences and evidence of self-proclaimed UFO witness/abductee Stan Romanek, who has allegedly experienced and documented almost 200 individual extraterrestrial encounters. He has filmed everything from UFOs and shadow figures to apparent, otherworldly, attacks on his house. He also claims to footage of actual aliens.

It's pretty nuts, and if it's true, it's mind blowing. Some of his stuff seems pretty legit, but most of it seems either too fake or too good to be true. We also discuss a new theory that says Jack the Ripper and HH Holmes might have actually been the same person.
