The Oro cult is one of the most feared and revered confraternity, as far as Yoruba culture and tradition is concerned, predominantly among the Awori(s).
Reckoned for the natural fear that tags along with it and particularly, the gender exclusion of females from going to the public everytime Oro is on a prowl. In fact, if one is not man enough, it's rather not advisable to wander around while Oro is on a prowl...
Whosoever is apprehended by the Oro cult would DEFINITELY be killed within a few stretch of days, as a cleansing custom and traditional ritual. Even though the emergence of civilisation et all is spelling a need to eradicate the culture of killings in the name of 'Oro', the practice is still actively in place in almost every settlement, even within Lagos.
Well, Oro is not particular about who gets killed. Even though there's the idea of strangers/travellers getting to be the scape goats, legit inhabitants or descents of a settlement could as well hit bad luck if he or she moves around at the wrong time...
Do not ask me if it's right or wrong. Some stuffs are better left unsaid...
