ARG Presents

Well, here we are at the end of 2022...a time of reflection and consideration.  It's also time to RANK THIS SUCKER!  Join Amigo Aaron and THE BRENT as we run down our personal favorite episodes and games of 2022, as well at the WORST of the worst!  We'd also like to thank all of our friends for watching and listening this past year, and a big thanks to Retrorewind.ca for being such a great partner!

Ho-Ho-Helloooo everyone!  It's the holiday season here at ARG Presents, and we're in a festive mood!  But how will Santa treat us this year?!?  Find out as we play Bad Arcade Ports...maybe...I mean we hear they are bad..and they don't look great, but we don't KNOW!  Help us figure it out as we play Pengo on the Atari 2600 and 720 on the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Welcome to a soul searching addition of ARG Presents.  This time out, we will tackle the infinite question of religion...in gaming.  After a discussion about the stigma attached to most religious offereings, we will get down to business with a few picks of our own.  Bow your head and pray that we get acouple winners this week as we play Mandagon on Steam and Onesimus on classic DOS!

It's a Commodore 64 VOLCANIC MINE EXPLOSION!  Join Amigo Aaron and that dastardly THE BRENT this week as we once again dig DEEP down the mine shaft of C64 Cartridge Games!  This time out, clean up after terrorists in their volcano lair in CRISIS MOUNTAIN!  THEN, dig out some diamonds in your HOWITZER MINE CART in Diamond Mine!

Last week, the people spoke, and we listened.  The people DEMANDED Texas Instruments TI-99 4A!!  Join THE BRENT and Amigo Aaron as we take a look WAY back at the first time we visited the TI, and then come with us as we take a look at two different titles for the machine from Texas, both of which MIGHT be hidden gems?!?  EXPERIENCE Moon Mine and Microsurgeon!

Roguelike games...what are they?!?  How do you define the genre and list out all the attributes that make a game a roguelike?  Heck if I know, but THE BRENT will attempt to explain it too me THIS WEEK on ARG Presents!  After i furrow my brow in a vain attempt to understand, we'll try a few of these roguelike (or is it rogue-like?!?) games!  Please join us as we take on the Scarab of Ra on the Macintosh and the MEATGRINDER that is Telengard for MS-DOS!

Three years ago, ARG Present got the ENTIRE Amigos Network banned from Youtube...bad day.  So, after spinning a piece to commerate that fateful day, we'll take a trip down memory lane and look at the fall out.  THEN, after a topic like that, you gotta bring the CONTROVERSY, and so we shall, as we look at the DOS version of CARMAGEDDON and the C64 MASTERWORK that is Samantha Fox Strip Poker!

This week on ARG Presents, join THE BRENT and Amigo Aaron as we look at games that never made it over the pond...yes, it's European Exclusives!  First, you loved it on the Amiga, but how did it fair on the Mega Drive?  It's MEGA SWIV!  Then, sure it's got a DOUBLE sexy cover, but does the game live up to the straight up hotness?  It's GAME OVER on the C64!

It's SPOOKY time on ARG Presents this week, as the EVIL Brent and Amigo Aaron have a look at some games with a touch of all hallows eve in them!  Join us as we dare venture into the creepy world of Carnevil, and then we battle dark minions in our footie pajamas in Monster Bash!

Ok, the title is confusing...Protagonists BASED on Sentient Animated Objects.  Translate that to "Heroes that aren't people but are alive" and you're getting there.  Join THE BRENT as he explains it all to AMIGO Aaron this week, and then we take a few of those games out for a spin.  Ponder your humanity as we play KOOL-AID MAN for the Atari 2600 and GLOVER for the N64!  Freaky, man!
