one of my favorite and least favorite topics: fast fashion. during my time at university, i got a minor in fashion merchandising. during this time i learned all about fast fashion, textiles, supply chains, sourcing, buying, and so much more. i've always been intrigued about fast fashion and its process and why it is truly so harmful to the planet (along with how it impacts the workers). today i go into the pros and cons of fast fashion while throwing in some knowledge from my very over-priced degree. since this is such a complex and multi-faceted topic, i've decided to split this into two episodes. this one mainly covers the pros and cons of fast fashion plus some fabric and material knowledge and how it degrades over time. part 2 talks about more environmental concerns that come with fast fashion and how you can do better when shopping at fast fashion stores (because let's be honest....it's inevitable). thank you so much for listening and i'll catch you in part 2!! xo
