Arise and Abide

Reading from Revelation 21:1-27 (NLT) ~The New Jerusalem~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking God being with His people comforting them and wiping every tear from their eyes. The Bride of the Lamb. The New Jerusalem. The never giving up, love of God.

Reading from Revelation 20:1-15 (NLT) ~The Thousand Years, The Defeat of Satan, The Final Judgment~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking righteousness of God’s final judgment, the great victory over Satan. The Fear of God, God is love, perfect love casts out all fear. Growing in understanding and experiencing God’s presence, the torment of being separated from God and his presence. Reflecting the love of Jesus.

Reading from Revelation 19:1-21 (NLT) ~Songs of Victory in Heaven, The Rider on the White Horse~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking righteousness of God’s justice. The continued invitation and challenge throughout the book. The importance of being invited and inviting others to the marriage supper of the lamb.

Reading from Revelation 18:1-24 (NLT) ~The Fall of Babylon~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the symbolism of Babylon. You cannot love both God and money. It’s not about the shiny things, its about relationship.

Reading from Revelation 17:1-18 (NLT) ~The Great Prostitute~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the influence of the enemy in the authorities of the world. Encouragement to pray for our leaders, remember their humanity, stay focused of Christ.

Reading from Revelation 16:1-21(NLT) ~The Seven Bowls of the Seven Plagues~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the similarity of God’s dealing with Pharaoh and those of the world of selfishness. God wants us to walk in the truth that we are loving servants. Father, Son, Holy Spirit vs. The Dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. Me, myself, and I. The trickery of the enemy is visible to those with eyes that see.

Reading from Revelation 15:1-8(NLT) ~The Song of Moses and of the Lamb, The Three Angles, Seven Bowls of the Seven Plagues~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the multitude of harpists. There is still time for people to repent and reject the enemy.

Reading from Revelation 14:1-20(NLT) ~The Lamb and the 144,000, The Three Angles, The Harvest of the Earth~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the Jesus coming on the cloud. The time to proclaim salvation for those who can hear. Colossians 2:11&12 Dying to self, being separated from our sin nature, surrendering all to Jesus is what brings us rest from our hard work and makes us able to produce a trail of good fruit.

Reading from Revelation 13:1-18(NLT) ~The Best out of the Sea, The Beast out of the Earth ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the imagery of the beast from the sea with the 10 names of blasphemy, the Ten Commandments, choosing for ourselves what is truth vs surrendering all to God and just reflecting His love. How people who do not subscribe to spirituality still worship the beast.

Reading from Revelation 12:1-18(NLT) ~The Woman and the Dragon, ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion looking at the imagery of the woman with the crown of twelve stars. Not knowing the time, not knowing the timeline. Maintaining faithful endurance, and what it means to persevere through the trials and tribulations. Show the love of God without the proof of circumstance, when they do not deserve it, because that’s the love God has shown you, is showing you, and will continue to show you.
