This is the church's finest hour. Let's stand firm as one, united working side by side and contending with a single heart and mind for the sake of the gospel! Myself and my guest Robert Hotchkin of ‘Men on the Frontlines' are going to talk about unity and the power of it because it is so very vital today, especially living in the day and the hour in which we do. Robert has an amazing heart changing word about unity and the power of it. Unity is a beautiful and precious thing to God, it blesses Him to see his children in agreement and dwelling in love with one another. As we do this many souls will be brought into the kingdom. Serving together with one heart and one mind is sweet to all who are watching and to us also.
Unity: The state of being united or joined as a whole, togetherness, wholeness opposite of divided, strife, discord.
I think about we who are parents when leaving the house give our children the final and most important instruction before walking out that door because we love them, why want to keep them safe, we know what’s good for them.
John 17:21 that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me. I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.
When I read this scripture I think about we who are parents upon leaving the house give our children the final and most important instruction before walking out that door because we love them, we want to keep them safe and we know what’s good for them. And so is the case with Jesus. Unity is so important to the Lord and He shows it because this is one of the last prayers Jesus prayed before leaving this earth:
Paul in Phil 1:27 “Whether I come to see you or only hear in my absence I will know you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel.”
Phil 2:2 being one in purpose and spirit...
