ARKeologist’s Podcast 80: #BadART4BadARK, Parasaur TLC, Aberration Item Transfers, Farming Resources

This was a huge week for many reasons. The #BadArt4BadARK movement went through some twists and turns as Wildcard didn’t know how to handle it properly before coming to a decision, the TLC Preview for the parasaur was released, and item transfers was opened up to Aberration resulting in raiders and griefers immediately trying to ransack the servers. But that was not all, in this week’s ARK Avenue segment the crew talks about farming for resources.

ARKeologist’s Podcast 79: Trike TLC Preview, Make Civilizations Not War, Ark Being Murdered

It was quite a busy and interesting week as, over the weekend, the #BadArt4BadARK movement kicked off, only to be curtailed a couple days into it. Wildcard released a preview for the Trike TLC and a new Modding Tutorial Contest. Meanwhile the crew went on to discuss making a civilization on PvP servers and whether or not ARK has been murdered.

The glider suit gets nerfed and the crew aren’t happy about it while they also talk about insiding, what signs to look for, and how you can minimize the damage that an insider can cause. Finally, the crew gets a little beesy talking about using bees for PvP.

No new patches this week, though Wildcard reintroduced the tame limit on Official PvP Servers. In addition, someone was stupid enough to live stream that they were selling dinos for real money, the Raptor is getting TLC, and our new ARK Segment has the crew discussing turrets and character loss.

The first Dino TLC Pass is here, along with a ton of fixes, patches, and QOL changes from Patch 278. But before they get to all that, the crew talks about the major exploit that was patched last week, the Valentine's Day event, the sarco getting some TLC, and more this week.

A large, unannounced patch was released this week and the crew spends some time trying to figure out what the exploit was. On top of patching the exploit, Wildcard claimed that a lot of mega tribes were using it, but are granting everyone a general amnesty rather than punishing people. Other discussions revolve around the Silencer changes not coming to Official servers and the crew revisits the debate about whether or not things are balanced when it comes to offense vs defense.
