We're getting back to our roots in today's Clinging to God & Guns show as Lloyd and Pastor Bennett dissect and debunk an article from Patheos.com. Written after the El Paso and Dayton shootings in the fall of 2019. The author contends that all gun owners have a moral obligation to support stricter gun laws and suggests that hate speech and a lack of support for gun control are valid reasons to deny a person the right to own a gun.

A Christmas message based on the account of author Henry Williamson of the Christmas Truce on the Ypres salient in 1914. Williamson's account, published in the London Daily Express in 1937, reminds us that even during that deadly and bitter conflict, we are all God's children. Pray that we remember that fact in the midst of our modern day divisions.

Prayer of the Week

Lord God, gracious Father, who in the fullness of time sent Your Son to become man, assume our flesh, and become our Brother, we implore You to keep us in true knowledge of our Redeemer, by whose birth we are delivered from sin, death, Satan, and hell, that with all the holy angels we may rejoice at His Nativity and behold Him who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
