Discussing our physical activity helps me feel more grounded and better. And I can teach better by doing more physical activity, because I’m really seeing excess energy and stress that I don’t need in the body.

Learning about how to fast and of course what foods to put in your body and not to put into your body is of the utmost importance. I describe how emotions, food and fasting impact our sense of well- being. As a teacher you must learn how to take care of yourself in order to take care of your students. Learning what to eat how to eat went to eat and when not to eat can give you that sense of empowerment.

Understanding our emotions impacts our relationships both personally professionally. It helps us become more emotionally intelligent. In schools we don’t teach emotional intelligence, we often just teach academic intelligence most of the time. Students need to learn how to not just clean their bodies in their teeth but their mind and their emotions as well. Students and teachers need more opportunities to strengthen their EQ not just their ability to pass exams. If students have challenges that are impacting them beyond the exam paper, they need to work through that in order to be able to better memorize and learn.

Reflecting on Life purpose and Learning from Lessons as hidden blessing.

This episode I just reflect on my own experiences of seven months living in Mairitius. And then particular how to find peace in nature rather than looking for it constantly in other people or technology or situations that we can’t control. And also to not over identify with the identity of work, but also create new senses of meaning.

Reflection on my first day and Rodrigus and how we define development as the world. What we value more? Be at family friends money the environment nature relationships? And our value system sets the tone for the rest of our lives.
