Tina Miller from Butler First United Methodist Church is with us to discuss their upcoming Mission Trip to Killeen, Texas. This mission trip is to serve a week at the Soldiers Hospitality House near Fort Hood. The group will be doing minor home repairs, helping to build a shed or pole building and possibly working on an outdoor restroom for the outdoor pavilion.
Learn all about Ben & Melody Bloker, missionaries for Cadence International, who provide the Soldiers Hospitality House. They do amazing work for the soldiers, their family and other members of the community.

The Seneca Valley All-School Musical truly appreciates the support many of the local businesses have given to the musical – some have donated meals during their busy final week of rehearsals, or purchased an ad in their program, or have allowed students to hang posters in their shops. Victoria talks about the new location they moved into at the end of 2018. This has allowed them to offer a unique food shopping program at their food bank for their consumers.

Patty Kirkpatrick, Executive Director of Don't Stop Dreamin', joins us to talk about Don't Stop Dreamin'.
A 501c3 non-profit, Don't Stop Dreamin' grants dreams to the 1000+ residents living in Quality Life Services nursing and personal care facilities & patients in Three Rivers Hospice. In 2019, they fulfilled 100 Dreams including an overnight trip for a resident to Hershey's Chocolate World, a 102 year old hospice patient flying in a hot air balloon near Lancaster, two resident's attended the Bob Seger concert, a resident fished for walleye on Lake Erie and many more!
Don't Stop Dreamin' is preparing for their fifth annual "Laugh For Love" event on Saturday, February 15th at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cranberry, PA. The evening will include music by DJ Jammin' Jim, a Trading Post Buffet Dinner, a live comedy show by nationally known female comedian Tammy Pescatelli, cash bar, raffle and variety of gift baskets.

Jesse Putkoski, Area Director of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- Western Pennsylvania Chapter, joins the show to talk all about AFSP. Jesse gives us a full insight into what AFSP is, their mission, fundraising and local events that their chapter hosts each year.
We discuss a few topics on Suicide Prevention and some of the common signs or traits one might notice. Jesse gives some statistics for our area as well as nationally. Staggering to know how high of a rate Suicide is in our country.
Jesse will be doing a "Talk Saves Lives" presentation in Ellwood City on January 20th from 6PM-7PM. This presentation will cover what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention and what we all can do to fight suicide. Participants will learn the common risk factors, how to spot the warning signs in others and how to keep ourselves, loved ones and those in the community safe.
This will be held at Mike's Main Street Bar & Grill in Ellwood City. RSVP are being taken by the Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce 724-758-5501

Gregg and his committee are well underway in their fundraising efforts and were recently awarded a $1 million dollar grant.
