TRIGGER WARNING: Chris and I discuss combat-related PTSD due to experiences in Somalia.

In this episode, I get to speak with Chris Mack of Aromatic Harmony. I treasure this, because Chris is a man of few words - but he IS a good story teller!
Chris became involved in the aromatic world when his wife and mother-in-law wanted to sell essential oils, so he signed up for an introduction class! We get to discuss the science of scent, and the beautiful complexity of the chemical receptors in our brains.
He credits his grandfather with giving him a key piece of advice - "Never pass an opportunity to shut the heck up". Taking this advice to heart has helped him to enjoy listening to people, creating a multitude of friends across the spectrum of humanity, and gaining a greater understanding of the circumstances that he finds himself in.
