It's not easy to console our loved ones when they open up to share their unspeakable and traumatic experiences with us. True empathy goes a long way for those who are on the journey to finding healing. Let's talk about how we can make these interactions easier on both sides during an already painful process, and ultimately, even make the world a better place because of it. In the meantime, always remember you can fall down, but ALWAYS get back up!

Usually at first glance, we tend to believe that our supporters and our doubters trigger two very different things in us when in all actuality, sometimes they can help us to the exact same things! While practicing gratitude one morning, I remembered when I was once out on the street with no where to go. I would have never imagined being where I am today: healthy mindset, independent, stable, consistent, giver and server. The two things just don't add up. Always be committed to being the person you needed during your circumstance. If we would all do that daily, the world would be a much better place. KNOW that you are meant for GREATER and once you get there, GRATITUDE keeps you there!

There's life after trauma, pain, resentment, failure, betrayal, etc. There's even more power in taking control and working towards the highest level of yourself. Sometimes we don't see it happening but when you look back years from now, you won't even recognize yourself in the mirror. That's a sight we ALL want to see! When you run from your calling, the God (or the Universe) will keep showing up and showing out to remind you that you have a job to do. When you allow yourself to be held back, you are ultimately telling the universe that the experiences you have gained through life were in vain. Everything happens for a reason. It's time to stop and realize that you are capable of doing anything you put your mind to! When you do this, you step into an untouched territory of potential to WIN. 

Speaking up about trauma is never easy. In this episode, I talk about my own battle with opening up about my sisters' and I's experiences and the struggle of how real it can get when you finally decide to uncover the secrets and dark parts of your past or present. No matter the outcome, keeping it all inside is not the answer. Don't hold it in because of fear of what others may think. Their responses are not your business, but your healing is. Let's get healing together. 

Anyone who has ever been through a personal trauma, no matter what it was, will have to go through a time of healing and self development. After so many dark years of anger, resentment, feeling betrayed, neglected, and so many other emotions-I was able to realize the one of the most important parts of this journey was finding forgiveness in my heart. 

During all the years of abuse, both physically and mentally to my sisters and I, many people had no idea what went on behind our closed door. Not even our own mother knew the full extent of the things happening daily in our household.

In this episode I go over some of the things that we experienced and how each child involved decided to take a different approach in the world as we grew older. Just because it happened to you, doesn't mean you have to be a victim to your circumstance. Rise up with me!
