Chattanooga Police Officer Joe Warren said school bus driver Johnthony Walker must have been going about 20 miles per hour over the speed limit before he swerved off narrow, winding Talley Road. The crash killed six Woodmore Elementary school children, and Walker faces criminal charges. Every year the Choo Choo Chorus —a choir of more than 100 men and women—get together to sing sacred and secular Christmas songs in a concert to benefit The Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center. The members of the chorus also perform throughout the year mostly in quartets. The Rock City 4 is one. Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher hopes a rising reward amount will help catch a shooting suspect. Last week, it was $6,000. This week, it’s nearly been doubled for information leading to the arrest of a man who allegedly shot an officer. “The reward amount is now $11,500,” Fletcher said at a press conference Monday. “We believe this level of financial incentive will encourage anyone with knowledge of the suspect to call 911.” The suspect is described as a black male with medium complexion,

The National Transportation Safety Board has completed the first phase of its investigation into a the Woodmore Elementary school bus crash that killed six children, but the driver wouldn’t answer the NTSB’s questions.
