  • The Daily Mess Thee Moment

    August 23, 2023

Making a moment thee moment.  How often have we made the attempt only to

fall flat?  Everything felt like a moment
would unfold but the indentation caused by an unexpected twist put the heart in
an area of question.  Was it self judgement?  That area where the heart finds energy in
doubt fear and shame.  Thee moment might
have actually happened by a lack of faith and trust poured dirt on the fires of
success.  Being available lowers the need
to constantly compare.  If all you’re
doing is looking back eventually you’re going to hit a larger wall.  The cause and effect of self judgement.

  • Wang Chung's Jack Hues Reaching For The Stars While Keeping HIs Feet On The Ground

Walking through a creative world with your eyes firmly attached to the stars above. The dreams and willingness to participate with the explorations of what's unveiled. This while AI's tend to mimic the sights and sounds the human has been gifted with but will never carry the correct emotions. Like that of playing with your fathers band at the age of 12. The required steps of music television, the reissuing of the early years and still playing live on stage. Reaching for the stars while keeping your feet on the ground.

  • The Daily Mess Are We Crossing The Picket Line

    August 22, 2023

I’ve spent a lot of time wondering about the true

effects of what’s going to happen to television and movies during this current
writer and actor’s strike.  The human
mind and heart relies entertainment and interaction.  Will internet sensations rise even higher in
    importance making even more millions?
Will we see a resurgence in unscripted reality shows from cooking to
sports and survival?  How can fans and
followers help out the cause?  No it’s
not considered crossing the picket line when binge watching or visiting a movie
theater.  The actors and writers haven’t
asked us to boycott the industry.  I know
what the lockdown of 2020 did to me when there were no people around.  I latched onto an essential job at a grocery
store to help heal my need only to learn the greatest entertainment performs
there every day!  Real people from all
walks of life and ages.  The greatest
    show on earth!

  • Karina Rykman Releases The Album Joyride

With an effervescent stage presence and rapturous, unbridled energy,

    Karina Rykman has
amassed a dedicated following of passionate fans and earned a
reputation as an unmissable live act. (In her own words, she plays bass,
sings, jumps around and laughs a lot). Leading a power trio that
    includes guitarist Adam November
and drummer Chris Corsico, Karina has headlined
clubs across America, taken over major festivals including Bonnaroo,
Sweetwater 420 Fest and The Peach Music Festival; and appeared on
The Today Show and America’s Got Talent. She even made several appearances as a guest player for the house band on
    Late Night with Seth Myers.

    A

self-professed “punk rock metal kid,” the New York City native got her
start playing in punk bands in the NY music scene before evolving into
the sounds of indie pop and psychedelic
jam rock that her fans know and love today. It was during her senior
year at NYU when Rykman’s talent and infectious
spirit earned her an invitation to join pianist Marco Benevento’s band
(as recommended by Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz), with whom she performed
countless shows before fronting her own band. Now, Karina’s debut album Joyride
    – produced by jam band legend Trey Anastasio of Phish – is available
everywhere, featuring her trademark thick bass, ethereal synths,
    disco-funk guitar, and silky,
    dreamy vocals.

Karina Rykmanis currently on a headlining

nationwide tour through the rest of the year in support of
Joyride (her hometown NYC show quickly sold out). Speak with Karina
about the evolution of her musical style, her influences and path to
success, and what listeners can expect from her new album and live show.

  • Richard Belzer Corporate Conspiracies From 2017

It might be billed as the ‘land of the free,’ but for the little guy

America has always been a tough place to find happiness. Today, that may
    be more true than ever.
In Corporate Conspiracies, Richard Belzer and David Wayne explain
why, taking aim at the big companies that have built their billions on
the backs of everyday women and men. Bestselling authors Belzer and
Wayne expose the myriad ways that the capitalist regime has got us under
its thumbs—from the corporatized mainstream media, to the trillions
stolen by big banks and mortgage companies during the mortgage crisis,
to the scams perpetrated by Big Oil and Big Pharma.
This is a decidedly different side to the stories we’ve all heard and
read in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. You may not
believe everything you read in Corporate Conspiracies (Skyhorse
Publishing hardcover, May 9, 2017, $24.99), but it’s guaranteed to make
you think twice about how corporate America enslaves and cheats
    everyone.
