  • Thr Daily Mess The Art Of Where You Are

Building the moment means giving yourself permission to make mistakes, to not make it perfect and to suck. Be open with change, challenge and chance. Know where you are while realizing who you are. Are you living a Once Upon Time nursery rhyme? When it's not playing out the way we planned, we make it too easy to shape shift into the perfectionist. The map looks more like a dreamland community where they laid the pipes, cut into the soil for the foundation then went home. The attempt was made? Effort became bankrupt. Push yourself through the troubled stones. Build your moments one brick at a time.

    April 19,

    2023

    Can we

ghost ourselves? Experts say, “Yes.”  It
works the same way as ghosting another person.
We stop listening, stop responding and caring therefore we find
something new to check into.  No longer
investing time and love in your projects is a form of ghosting yourself.  Writers will support their drafts then
abandon them.  I’m guilty of doing
it!  My passion to put paint on a canvas
    didn’t dry up.  I couldn’t handle the
pain that comes with doing art shows.  I’ve
    ghosted myself.  Thanks to digital
technology I’m beginning a process of un-ghosting the creative painter.

  • The Daily Mess Lazy Or Luxury

    April 18,

    2023

    Although

it was just yesterday, it feels like days since the last time I put ink into
the veins of this living tree.  Sadly, I
haven’t a clue as to what was received.
Have smartphone apps made us lazy with our memory?  Or is it a luxury?  Forgetting about things isn’t new.  My mother used it as an easy way to get out
    of a conversation.  I don’t
remember.  I’m guilty of depending on the
app.  I return to it twenty minutes after
being there to remind myself of what I reminded myself of.  Lazy or a luxury?

  • Play It Forward Episode 569 Steven Raichlen Releases The Book The Barbecue Bible

Thank you for being part of the conversation.  This is Play It Forward.  Real people.

    Real stories.  The struggle to
Play It Forward Episode 569  With Steven
Raichlen Creator Of The Barbecue Bible.

    Steven Raichlen is

synonymous with barbecue. The James Beard Award-winning author of an impressive
array of New York Times bestselling cookbooks, a Barbecue Hall of Famer, indefatigable barbecue
anthropologist and a PBS star, he has shaped
America’s obsession with live-fire cooking for decades.

    It started in 1998, when

Workman published Raichlen’s groundbreaking THE BARBECUE! BIBLE, which fired a grilling revolution around the world, transforming
the arts of smoking and grilling to the cult status it enjoys today. When
this 500-recipe homage to global live-fire cooking was first published,
American grilling was limited to simple summer weekend cookouts with little
technique or creative thought. And now, it’s hard to believe that there was
ever a time when grilling and barbecue weren’t ubiquitous American obsessions.

  • Madi, Ana And Bella From Sorelle On NBC's The Voice

Madi, Ana and Bella are singing sisters from a small town in Ohio. From a

very young age, the moment their toes touched the floor in the morning,
their synchronized voices could be heard throughout their home - pure,
    spontaneous, and
in perfect harmony. At 10 and 12 years old, Madi and Ana gained
recognition when they performed the national anthem at the Cleveland
Cavaliers opening game. Soon, it became three times the fun when baby
sister Bella officially joined the group. The trio then
established themselves as Sorelle - the name deriving from the Italian
word for sister. Their original music has won them three PopSmash Music
Awards and built an audience of 3.2 million followers on TikTok who tune
in for their daily posts and weekly broadcasts.
