  • Misha Collins From Gotham Knights On CW

Batman is dead, and a powder

keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In
the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar
Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the
children of some of Batman's enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), an
unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum
and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise
and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and
her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who
is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and
hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins)
and the GCPD hot on their
trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and
formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman
sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn
there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within
Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to

  • Robert Kool Bell From Kool AndThe Game Let's Party And Kool Champagne

    As

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, it should be noted that
Grammy legends Kool & the Gang stand as the most sampled band within
    the Hip Hop music culture.

    According

to the Who Sampled website, there are 1,898 documented samples of Kool
& the Gang's songs. The top being the classic instrumentals "N.T."
from their 1971 album, "Live At P.J.'s"
and their longtime hit, "Summer Madness", off the "Light Of Worlds"
    disc (1974).

    The

most well known sample of "Summer Madness" is found on the 1981 #1 hit
from DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince (Will Smith), "Summertime". As
for "N.T.", the drum break (played by Kool
& the Gang co-founder George Brown) within that track was sampled
by Nas ("N.Y. State of Mind") and N.W.A. ("Gangsta Gangsta") among 352
known samples for that one tune.

    It

should also be noted that one sampled Kool & the Gang classic,
"Jungle Boogie", is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year as
    well.

  • Alex Stapleton Director Of Reggie On Prime Video

    Reggie, an

intimate and revealing new documentary that examines the career and
legacy of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and activist Reggie
Jackson, premieres exclusively on Prime Video on March 24. The film is
the definitive, firsthand account of five-time World
Series Champion, beloved New York icon, and one of baseball’s most
influential superstars as he contemplates his legacy as a trailblazing
Black athlete fighting for dignity, respect, and a seat at the table.
Over the course of his life and barrier-breaking
career, Jackson witnessed a dramatic shift in race relations across
America: Starting his career in Birmingham at the height of the civil
rights movement, moving to Oakland during the rise of the Black Panther
Party, and landing in New York City as the highest-paid
player in baseball as the Bronx was burning. Now, against the backdrop
of today’s increasingly divided world, he sits down with fellow legends
Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Hank Aaron, Derek Jeter, and more to discuss
their own experiences, how far we’ve really come,
and the leagues they want to leave behind for future generations.
Reggie is directed by Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker Alex Stapleton. Alex’s credits include Showtime’s Shut Up and Dribble, which looked at the changing role of NBA athletes in our changing political and cultural environment,
and Netflix’s The Playbook, which profiled legendary coaches as they shared their secrets for success in sports and life.
