The winners of the 2023 Oscars. Breaking it down.
We make the choice to take and or receive. We make the choice to relinquish or to hoard. Only to take note of what little we have left...
There's a huge soft drink war taking place. Pepsi taking on Coke. So many new flavors! Coke isn't afraid to stamp the words for a limited time on the side of the bottle. This is how we embrace change. We expect it in the consumer world but not our personal atmosphere. Lays potato chips are constantly sending us new chips with unique textures and flavors. How about this new sports drink Prime. But they're doing it on the web so I have to do it too! How you doing with that image in the mirror? Whoa. Suddenly nobody likes change. No matter what's taking place around us we keep jumping back into our non changing ways.
Pod Crashing Episode 198 With Erika Lantz From The Turning
In every ballet studio, there is a wall of mirrors. It reflects the people within. They're part of a closed, elite group that asks for sacrifice and devotion from its members. This insular community produces iconic artists. It's founded on a strict power structure, often with one man at the top. By tracing the origins of this unusual lifestyle, starting with the legacy of choreographer George Balanchine and the intimate stories of young dancers, we expose the beauty of an art form and the complexity of ballet culture.
Hey it’s Arroe and this is Pod-fest Episode 21
Three back to back conversations with real people we know either through entertainment, politics, science, medical or by helping us put our lives back in order. They’re played back to back. I’ve learned that podcast listening isn’t always about a four minute song. The lyrics we share in the everyday world make being a part of this new age of content incredibly special and these guests always bring their story.
Pod-fest 21 features my 2019 conversation with Joe Zolper from Garage Squad on The Motor Trend Network. Then we’ll jump into a moment with Joe Fatone of NSYNC as well as the host of the game show Common Knowledge. And we’ll wrap things up with actor John Hannah from NBC’s Transplant.

Following its successful UK premiere, new BritBox Original limited series The Confessions of Frannie Langton, a powerful period drama with a murder mystery and a tale of forbidden love at its core, will premiere exclusively on BritBox.
This generation has been trained to expect perfection. Which is so far from the truth. Look at the way we shop! We wander into second hand stores, thrift shops and flea markets. Yet when we don't get way we want it's nothing more than another dark gloomy rainy day.
Promise Boys is a debut YA thriller by writer-filmmaker, Nick Brooks in which three boys at an urban charter school investigate their principal’s murder during a high-stakes 24-hour day. It is a page-turning, murder mystery thriller that shines a light on themes of social justice and educational inequities, shaping this novel to be both a commercial and literary blockbuster.
Prior to becoming a filmmaker, Brooks worked as an educator with at-risk youth, and Promise Boys reflects his firsthand experience at how the system can condemn these boys to failure before they’ve even had a chance at success, despite the media fanfare often awarded to urban academies.
“Promise Boys is a classic whodunit that mystery fans will love. But even more than that it’s a social thriller, told through the perspective of Black and Brown boys, that highlights the inequity in our education system,” said Brooks. “This is a story that needs to be told, to speak for our kids who far too often are unable to advocate for themselves and to inspire them to tell their own story."
With so many daily changes and challenges we've become this generation of particles of judgement...

When did bedroom pillows become a huge science project? The Mood Pod pillow is filled with micro beads and dual membrane technology. It mimics the sensation of floatation therapy. I feel deeply sorry for the billions of pillows on the shelves at Bed Bath and Beyond. Maybe I’m being mean to something that’s dedicated its shapes and sizes to the human’s desire to get a good night sleep. Is it pillow or the person? I take this stuff seriously! I have a contour swan body pillow. The maker claims it supports the entire body. Actually I feel something different. I know I’m in my mother’s loving arms.
