  • The Daily Mess Stop Dropping And Start Popping

Randy Bachman from Guess Who once said to me, "You only know me for my hits not my strikeouts."  This is why I keep a De Frag journal.  To learn from misguided swings at the plate.  I'm more inspired by the broken down cracked up dreams left on the page more than the experience of practicing and playing out.  Nothing in life just happens.  I borrow from this idea then from that attempt while mixing this effort with particles of that dream.  Most people don't allow their imaginations to enjoy the pieces parts.  We want it all right now. When that doesn't happen we drop the plan.  The goal is to discover new outlets of outreach.

Pod Crashing Episode 179 With Laura Beil From Sympathy Pains

This show tells the story of Sarah Delashmit, a former nurse who had an almost 20-year history of faking illnesses. She was so skilled at being sick, she was even able to integrate herself into disability communities and cancer non-profits. She was finally caught and stopped after two of her victims confronted her on national television, and her actions caught the attention of federal prosecutors. She garnered sympathy because they thought she was disabled. The truth is - she was. Just not in the way they thought she was.

  • Stream Thinking Brevity

Unmastered is the art of brevity.  Keeping it short and to the point.  The dictionary defines brevity as concise and exact.  This is how I try to host my podcast interviews.  I've learned to stop using physical questions and start making statements.  I reach for he pause.  Amazing reactions and replies.  I rarely get the typical yes or no answer.  Brevity opens the door where too much talk is the turn off.

  • Bill O'Reilly Releases The 12th Book Of The Killing The Legends Series

Trail-blazing TV journalist Bill O'Reilly, the best-selling author of the Killing series, adds KILLING THE LEGENDS: The Lethal Danger of Celebrity to the roster of record-breaking books that he co-writes with Martin Dugard. This will be the 12th book in the series-following the #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly bestseller Killing the Killers-nearly all of which became #1 New York Times and national bestsellers. Sales of the series approach 19 million copies worldwide, and have spent more than 340 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.

KILLING THE LEGENDS explores the lives, legacies, and tragic deaths of three of the most famous people of the 20th century: Elvis Presley, John Lennon, and Muhammad Ali. These three icons changed the worlds of music, film, and sports. Their influence, though, far exceeded the entertainment and athletic fields. These three changed society and culture. They were known and inspired people across the globe. They each became larger-than-life figures. They were on top of the world until their lives spiraled out of control. Immense success led to failure, addiction, or unhappiness that forced them to reinvent themselves and their talents. In industries that celebrated youth, they faced down growing older and found ways to renew themselves. But in the end, they were all three isolated by their fame -and sadly, it was their inner circles, those they trusted the most, that contributed to their downfall.

Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's Killing series is the most popular series of narrative nonfiction books in the world. KILLING THE LEGENDS is the dramatic, insightful, entertaining, inspiring, and ultimately heartbreaking story about how these "legends" met their end.

  • The Daily Mess Quiet Quitting

The group Chicago once did a song called Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is.  With confidence, many of us walk into each new day hoping to do better than yesterday.  Keyword:  Hoping.  The working lifestyle I presently live is by choice.  I do not know what time it is or what day of the week we are presently positioned in.  Quiet Quitter's have made it extremely easy for other's to do their job for them.  Being a Quiet Quitter is accepted behavior.  I don't believe it's because of the person but rather those leading.  Lacking is a sense of accountability.  Holding people responsible.  Accept little to no excuses.  Quality is suffering because much of today's working world is being held together by Snag A Job employees. They aren't perfect but they show up!  The soundtrack to my life is business not a song on the streaming connection.
