The typically peace filled daily walk through the forest has put Jazzie and I face to face with true crime. Who killed the opossum? The blood, the blunt hit, the way the body is positioned. We have a true crime scene inside Ernie's forest.

Joe Cocker and the Beatles once sang about needing a little help from a friend. When the times are a changing, we no longer see the image of Bob Dylan. It plays hard on us like the thunder that only happens while it's raining. Ask Stevie Nicks. We can't go on if AC/DC is standing in the way with Hells Bells and a Highway of Hell. Funny how we can turn the songs we sing into our own little stories. Yet we can't seem to reach for the lyrics from a well-studied book of life and love. Maybe we should listen to Peter Frampton's Show Me The Way.

People still have a hard time envisioning that I played 1,700 seedlings into the surface of this forest floor in 1997. I'm shocked by the acceptance of the challenge as well. It's documented with photographs in my daily writing. The greatest lesson I learned putting those trees into the soil was how you should never never never trust a forest floor.

How did we get here? Always asking for a little more. It reminds me of the movie Oliver when the orphan wants a little more porridge. Understanding the fine art of knowing too much is too much. The daily calling has to shift toward peace and calm. Facing not just our I Wants but everyone associated with you. It's a valuable tool! Respecting what you have in the present.
