Welcome back to another IELTS Writing Task video, and today I'm going to be focusing, again, on opinion essays. When I look at language centers here, there is a ton of competition that's just right around the corner (even just below us in the building I'm in). So, what makes our product better than theirs? Features? Focusing on customer requests? Product rollout and prototypes? These are things that should be considered. However, classrooms without computers or interactive learning, which the NOW generations absolutely love, aren't even considered. What would THEN happen is a language center just below would have those features and possibly friendlier staff -- resulting in us losing customers and them gaining.
Think about how new products are developed in your country. Or, think about how you've developed in your field of endeavor. Are you the same as you were a year ago? Your podcasts? Or products? This won't last forever...and this is why having a growth mindset is important. Tune in!

Stories, stories, and more stories! What are some problems you may have at a restaurant? Perhaps the food was cold when you got it, indicating that it had been sitting on the counter for some time.  Maybe the chicken is too dry, or the soup was too hot (which doesn't make sense -- but I've seen people complain before). Well, I have stories stemming from cold-plated plates in Manly, to cockroaches marching across the table in Thailand.  Plus, you're going to listen to the dos and more don'ts when selecting a restaurant for a business lunch.

It could be nerve-racking not knowing what the other person likes -- who you just so happen to be meeting for a business lunch.  So, learning about the basic tips such as choosing a place that's not so cheap/expensive, ordering different starters, and setting up a perfect time....is essential.
