Perché costruire una guida dedicata alle gallerie d'arte contemporanea, città per città?
Nel mappare, nell'archiviare e nel comunicare un mondo così polarizzato in Italia, come quello delle gallerie d'arte, ci siamo resi conto di specificità e di atmosfere raccolte attorno a ciascuno di questi centri. Le gallerie storiche hanno magnetizzato, attorno alle loro scelte, le energie dell'arte contemporanea delineando scenari. Uno di questi centri è senz'altro Bologna, città che ospita una delle più antiche fiere al mondo, dopo Colonia e Basilea.
Qui, infatti, nel 1974 nasceva Arte Fiera, con tutte le energie che le si catalizzavano attorno. E per questo motivo ci siamo rivolti a un osservatore privilegiato della scena bolognese, per una sua introduzione d'autore.
È Lorenzo Balbi, direttore del Mambo, Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna, museo che ha dedicato energie e mostre alle gallerie bolognesi, con dei focus su G7 e De Foscherari.
Negli ultimi 10 anni, da quando vince il Premio New York, nel 2010, le esperienze collettive di Marinella Senatore hanno coinvolto oltre 6 milioni di persone in più di 23 paesi. E hanno fatto il giro del mondo in forma di sfilate, workshop, scuole di danza e molto altro, da Rosas a School of Narrative Dance. L'artista, nata nel 1977 a Cava dei Tirreni, in provincia di Salerno, racconta le origini e le ragioni della potente multidisciplinarietà messa in scena nella sua opera.
Il 9 febbraio la galleria Massimo De Carlo apre la sua sesta sede. E lo fa a Parigi, rievocando nel nome e nel formato una galleria storica come Pièce Unique, fondata da Lucio Amelio nel 1989.
La kermesse bolognese offre l'arte in compilation d'autore. A Bologna, Arte Fiera si rinnova e offre un nuovo formato.
