Sheila and Tom discuss the interest and importance of drawing, as they explore Bosch to Bloemaert: Early Netherlandish Drawings from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, a show at the National Gallery, which is up until Jan 7, 2018.

The Kreeger Museum of Washington DC, has just re-opened, after three years of renovation. In a building designed by Philip Johnson and Richard Foster, the Kreeger is totally about the experience of art: there was a beautiful feeling in being there. Tom and Sheila explore the space, the collection, and the experience.

Color is a beautiful experience. It surrounds us. It is in us: in our bodies, in our dreams, in our imagination. We’re taking three shows to consider: where do colors come from? Our first engagement is with the oldest physical pigments: colors from the earth.

Sheila’s guest is her husband, Peter Blake, currently Emeritus scholar at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
