Today on episode number eight, it is with great pleasure that I invite my next guest, Award-winning photographer Jesse Diamond.  He has had multiple photography monographs published and photography exhibitions on coasts from Los Angeles to New York City.

Jesse and I met many years ago at one of our favorite venues, the Palm Springs photo festival and we share a passion for photography. I’m delighted that we have stayed in touch throughout the years. He’s such a warm, genuine and confident guy. It was an honor to invite him to the Leo Burnett agency in Chicago for a private photo review with some of our top Producers and creatives, as I was so impressed by his photography work.

In this episode, we speak about his passion for music, playing the drums, and his eventual discovery of his passion and love for photography during a trip to Africa during his early 30’s.

We talk about, his photography exhibitions as well as his relationships with such inspiring people who have influenced his career and his mentors.

Frank has created so many iconic and memorable photographs and has enjoyed his collaboration with actors, musicians, artists, politicians, athletes, and people from all walks of life. He applies many non-photographic elements in his work, ranging from collage, drawing, and painting to his photography. He has also directed both music videos and national commercials.

Frank and I discuss his recent publication of Volume 3. 

We speak about keeping creative during the recent lockdown and what he has been working on and how he is archiving his powerful images.

We touch on his longstanding relationship with David Bowie, his sons, and the passion for teaching.

On this episode, it is my great pleasure to be speaking with award-winning, American Jewelry designer and Artist, Pamela Love. Her book Pamela Love: Muses and Manifestations, was published by Rizzoli New York in 2016

Pam's Jewelry is inspired by astrology, her travels, astronomy, alchemy, botany, and folklore. She won the Ecco Domani Award in 2011, won the CFDA Lexus Eco Challenge for Sustainable Design in 2012, and in 2013 Won the CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessory Design.
You have seen her work in countless music videos and on Television series. She is a favorite designer to many celebrities and music icons.

We speak about her moving from Florida to NYC to attend the NYU Tisch School of the Arts to major in Film.  
Did you know she had originally wanted to be a production designer? We talk about her passion for film, how she began her journey with Jewelry design, and a new hobby of working with pottery. She shares her advice for new designers starting out today as well as her long term relationship with Francesco Clemente, who also officiated at her wedding and her love of music amongst many other surprises. Not to mention, her deeply candid honesty about her family history. 

She also happens to be one of my favorite cousins.

Today I speak with Artist Representative Carol LeFlufy, Carol is the owner and creator of the agency Eye-Forward. She represents some of the most incredible Photographers and Directors. Carol and I go way back, two decades, actually (2) We met many years ago in NYC through the photo industry. We speak today about passions for architecture, photography and Art. I took to Carol in a heartbeat. Her energy and radiance were incredible.  What a positive, lovely human being. 

She and I discuss her beginnings as a photographer in Vancouver Canada, to her move to NY and then the West Coast.  Her start in NY with some very well-known photographers and the seminal agency Art + Commerce, as well as representing one artist for his whole career!  We discuss starting a hugely successful agency, Eye-Forward, representing some of my most cherished talents and what it is like to work in this challenging time!

Today we welcome, to the third episode of Art Buyer for Hire, the iconic photographer Greg Gorman. I'm honored to speak with him on this podcast. I have been a fan of Greg’s work since my early 20’s. I have his books on my shelves and have admired his images that I’ve seen in publications such as Interview, Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, and Vanity Fair. He is a master of lighting and has created so many memorable portraits. He has photographed iconic celebrities from Jodie Foster, Liza Minelli, Heath Ledger, Tom Hanks, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, Diane lane, Sir Elton John, John Waters, and Julianne Moore, amongst so many others. 

By the way, did you know that he had entered the world of winemaking, The brand was called GKG.

Greg has a new book coming out now titled “It’s not about me” We speak about this as well as chat about, his touching memories of  Antonio Lopez, the Iconic Illustrator and Divine, the Artist/Actor, Greg's passions, and influences as a photographer. Growing up in Kansas City. Did you know he loves fishing??

I am delighted to welcome my next guest, Don Flood. Don is an accomplished Celebrity/Beauty, Fashion, and Athletic photographer. His photographs have appeared in such publications as Vanity Fair, In-Style and Esquire just to name a few. He has worked for such notable clients as Victoria’s Secret, CoverGirl, and Pantene. His celebrity portraits include the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Diane Lane, Naomi Watts, Eva Mendez, and Jessica Biehl, as well as famous recording artists, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dog, Fergie and Adam Lambert.

He is also the creator and company owner of an exceptionally provocative and inspiring line of wallpaper, for both residential and commercial spaces, appropriately named Fliepaper. It’s a stunning collection.

In 2018, his Beetle design was taken into the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt/ Smithsonian Museum.

Today we speak to Don about growing up in Chicago, his inspiration from the fields of Architecture, Photography & Art. We talk about his bold graphic collection of wallpaper titled “Fliepaper”.

I am thrilled to welcome my first guest on Art Buyer for Hire, the award-winning photographer Sandro Miller who is not only a brilliant photographer but a true friend. I followed Sandro for years before we had met, I’ve always admired his Art. Sandro is a legend and an inspiration and I finally had the honor to work with him when I moved back to Chicago and joined the Production team at the Leo Burnett Agency, It has been a joy, and a privilege to collaborate with him many times and I think he gets the award for photographer’s I have worked with the most, running the gamut for Clients like Coca Cola, Sprint, Crest. He’s a true professional who always goes the extra mile! Four words about this gentleman….Kind, generous, creative, and inspirational! Today we speak about his childhood, inspiration, the first time he saw an image by the legendary Irving Penn,  his new personal work, and the Art for assistants project, as well as the first time he saw  Sports Illustrated.  He also talks about dealing with our current COVID-situation.
