Chelsea and I talk about where her art comes from her travels and nerd out over a somewhat obscure grunge super group called Mad Season. Chelsea is an amazing painter and Bass player with the band Boy Indigo, as well as one of my favorite humans.

Robert and I talk about what it’s like to serve Twenty years in prison, while using burpees to train your mind and body to get the most out of every day. This book honors the lessons that his father Ruben taught home while they were in prison together. We talk about our lives out here in society, and the obstacles we face. My longest episode to date, it was great catching up with my buddy Rob, and an honor to meet his brother Ruben Jr.

Brett Chantel, is a painter, interior designer, kickboxing instructor, and an all around bad ass. She gets me to drink kombucha, and I tell her about prison wine! Great times with my friend Brett.

Mike is an artisan whose mediums are metal and wood. He’s also a car guy and a super wise gentleman. We were on the third edition of the We Are Sacramento/Oak Park Brewery photoessay beer can together and we have been buds ever since.

Ashley aka ladyjunkrat is such a cool person to speak with.  We had a great time getting to know one another. I’m sure you will enjoy this one as well.
