Art Farts

In the Philadelphia Museum of Art there is a corner illuminated by the soft glow of dandelion seed covered LEDs. These lights are part of an exhibition created by a forward thinking art collective that strives to highlight the parallels between our natural world and our artificial world. In this episode we’ll be discussing DRIFT.

The EPIC conclusion to our two part series about meta art. In the first part we took the definition of “meta” literally and talked about paintings within paintings, but on this episode we’ll be discussing art that refers to itself, art about the act of making art, art about the pieces that compose it, and much much more.

Take two! We did this topic already but the audio got messed up, so here it is again! Part one of our two part exploration of meta art throughout the years. Everyone calm down, we’re not getting too crazy on this one, we’re just gonna talk about paintings in paintings to prepare ourselves for part two, which I might be overhyping.
