The Adirondacks are home to many things, including great music. If you look at the lineup this summer, you would have thought you were in the big city. From the Red Violin to the Lake Placid Sinfonietta and the Lake George Music Festival – we’ve been exposed to some incredible music.
The Sultan’s of String are no exception to this amazing string of talent and performances that have visited the region this year. The group thrills audiences with their genre-hopping types of music – from Celtic reels, Flamenco, Gypsy-jazz, Arabic and Cuban rhythms, so we thought we’d find out more about the group. We first talked with Chris McKhool from the band, then interviewed Jennifer Potter Hayes, Executive Director of View to find out what it means to bring that kind of talent to Old Forge. Chris is up first, then you’ll find Jennifer at 10:09 minutes into the interview.
We’ve got one of their music videos (above). The group performs at View in Old Forge, Friday September 16th at 7:00 pm.
