Many artists are struggling with income streams getting cutting due to the quarantine. With galleries, art fairs, and businesses closed, traditional routes aren't always working.
Today I share 10 things you can do to generate income with your creativity and art.
Today I interview Kansas City artist, Ashley Corbello, about the pros and cons of art fairs. She shares her years of experience with us and talks about how to apply, why to apply, and why to think twice before doing it.
Stephen Guilbert is an extremely talented musician. He plays piano and has over 3 million views on YouTube. Today Stephen and I talk about how he got 3 million views and how other creatives can use the same techniques.

My grandpa use to say, "don't pull of your eggs in one basket". With the recent world situation and widespread panic this couldn't prove more true. As artists and entrepreneurs we are panicked as we watch our art shows close, galleries close, and art fairs cancel. We're watching as our finances begin to dry up. I talk this week about why it's so important to have multiple streams of income as an artist and/or entrepreneur.
As an entrepreneur, it is easy to find yourself overwhelmed. With overwhelm comes lack of motivation, inspiration, and energy. As an artist and entrepreneur I even find that it effects my creativity level in the studio. If you don't find ways of comping with the overwhelm, anxiety will start to set in. This is a common problem in anyone trying to juggle family, business, and the ever growing to do list. This week I discuss three things you can do to help prevent reaching the point of overwhelm.

Last week I talked about the importance of having your own website. Today I talk to Digital Strategist, Larissa Uredi with No-where Consultants. She explains the steps you need to take to make sure you are showing up in searches and driving traffic to your website through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). She gives details on how to do that and explains how to use and find keywords that will help in boosting your chances of being found. She also briefly discusses the value in using Google Analytics.
Not only does an artist website give you credibility, but it also gives you control over who, when, and how potential customers see your artwork. You have no control over your marketing and require people wanting to find your work to wade through too much distraction and competition with third party sites and social media. In this podcast, I explain why it's important to have your own artist website.
This week I discuss how to identify who your customer is so that you can get your work in front of them.
I often get the question from emerging artists, "I have work, now what?" This week I discuss how to make sure you are ready to take the next step in showing your work to the world.
It pisses me off when I hear about another artist getting scammed or one of my fellow creatives getting taken advantage of. In this video I tell you about a recent art scam that is going around via email, how to identify it, and how to avoid these scams.
