This new episode of the Art Next Door features gr_und, a nonprofit artist-run space situated in Wedding, Berlin. In this conversion we talked to James Verhille and Damien Sayer from gr_und.  The other members of the project space who were not in this interview are Anna Frick, Cedric Mantel, and Nina Blume. 

We talked about the space, their program of 2022 and how they plan organise their events. What makes gr_und unique is that their Sprache Stunde concept on Tuesday that allows artists to meet the members to discuss their practice, review their portfolios and discuss for a possible collaboration in the future. Jaanika Peerna's performance Glacier Elegy Berlin was part of the public program that I co-curated on behalf of the group exhibition Leviathan: A Capitalocene Beastiarium in July 2021. The book reveals images and text about this performance project, which is developed in the last five year.

I have been willing to pay a visit to Kurt-Kurt and at last it happened! I am very pleased to meet with co-founder, artists Simone Zaugg & Pfelder. They told the untold story of Kurt-Kurt which was very inspiring.
