On tap this week is a group of Master of Fine Arts candidates from Purdue University, which goes by the name of the Purdue Artist Collective. Their unifying thread is that they work and study with a friend of the ART TAP podcast, Sigrid Zahner. The artists with me are a diverse midwestern selection: Amanda Kendrick from DeWitt, Michigan, whose focus is oil painting. Jessica Peterson from Iroquois, Illinois, who is studying ceramics. Charmaine Renee is from Dayton, Ohio, and they are working in mixed media. And Tracy Smoll is from Waynetown, Indiana, and she is studying ceramics.

On tap this week are three guests who have been guests previously on the podcast and with whom I feel a great kinship, Kelly McBurnette-Andronicos, Steve Martin, and Rachel Lopez. Each is a produced and/or published playwright and a member of the greater Lafayette theatre community. I thought I'd get them all at the same table and conduct a session of "Playwright Talk." Along with thoughts on the current nature and themes of American theatre, each shares a notable new or reworked play they've seen recently.
