Artefact

An interview with Steven Guthrie, the author of Creator Spirit (among many other things!). We learn about how the Holy Spirit works in the lives of believers to bring out His creativity. How can we be dependant and active at the same time? What are we saved from and also what are we saved for? This deep dive into the role of the Spirit in the lives of believers isn't limited to the arts, but also covers how to have a truly good life.

If you're in or near the Manchester area, we'd love for you to come along to the Artefact Gathering, on 26 October 2024: tinyurl.com/artefactgathering

Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

What connection does the arts have with our experiences of transcendence? Mark writes, “might not human-made artefacts also offer a means by which the transcendent might tremble through?”

In this second episode we get to what church leaders can do to encourage the artists in our congregations.

Mark Meynell is our guest in our inaugural episode to talk all things arts, faith, and transcendent. Marks works with the Langham Partnership, and author of books like What Makes Us Human?, When Darkness Seems Our Closest Friend, and Life After Life. We explore many aspects of his dissertation entitled "A Wild Whisper of Something Originally Wise - Harnessing the Arts to Restore the Plausibility of Transcendence within the Immanent Frame". Mark is also our speaker for our upcoming conference, the Artefact Gathering, October 2024: tinyurl.com/artefactgathering
