The first is Asian longhorn beetle, a wood boring pest that can cause extensive issues for city landscapes and forests. David ended up with this big beetle in his state last year during the early stages of the pandemic, further complicating the problem.  This summer, the invasive spotted lanternfly (SLF) was in the news multiple times after being found in Indiana, in a new Ohio location, and in a 4-H insect collection from Kansas.
