Michael Zagaris, or "Z Man" as he is often referred to, has led an incredible career as a photographer starting in the 1960's within the San Francisco Bay area. His books "Total Excess" and "Field of Play" showcase his remarkable photography skills in music and NFL football respectively.
From the 60's when he worked with acts such as The Who, Eric Capton and The Grateful Dead to those in years since such as The Clash, Blondie, Tom Petty and many more, his unique style is present. For almost four decades he has been the official team photographer for both the Oakland A's baseball and San Francisco 49ers football teams. The sheer breadth and depth of Michael's work is beautiful and inspiring.
