The Productivity Commission claims artificial intelligence could unlock more than $100 billion for Australia's economy.

But creative and arts bodies are voicing concern that the Commission's call for the federal government to exercise a light touch on AI regulation — especially in relation to copyright and data mining — could lead to creative theft.
