We have to start leaving the past in the past. A lot of older people complain about the younger generation who's taking over the game. Whether that's music, sports, theatre, or media, there is always that one OG who has something to say in regards to the direction the new generation is taking the art or profession that he loves. The world today is in a very weird place especially craeatively. We hear the same things on the radio, see the same things on the TV screen, and scroll past the same things on social media. However, the rapper Bas realeased an album entitled "We Only Talk About Real Sh*t When We're F*cked Up. And today I am going to be doing a deep dive into what that means of us as artist today.

When I say "artist never die" it's not just saying. It's a movement. It's the journey that you go through and the hard work you put in to make what you are called to do happen. It's your hardwork that is everlasting and that will change the world and keep you name alive forever. However, I now have a different definition. Today I had my good friend come visit me in NYC and she decided to hop on the podcast. I've been in a season of expectation. I've been expecting something new to come. I've been expecting greatness to happen. I've been expecting God to put his hands on my work. However, how do we manage expectations? How do you not get over-consumed by what you're expecting? Do I have the answers... no. But I for sure want to present the questions.

I know life is hard and sometimes you want to rush the process. Trust me I'm the same way. But remember when you bake there's a time on the back of the box telling you how long the food needs to bake. Sometimes you just have to sit back, and let it cook.
